One eighteenth of the electric used by the complex is provided by the sun

Low wattage fluorescent lights have been used to reduce electricity usage

Are no more than 17 meters wide to allow natural light to be filtered in to the building

Is collected in two water tanks and re-used in the complex and garden

Welcome to Brophy Community and Youth Complex

Where do you go if you are looking for information, activities and services relating to health, welfare, education, training, employment and social connectedness... and all in the one location?  We’d like to think that place is the Community and Youth Complex.

A welcoming space where youth and community can access services and activities without fuss is a key aim, along with incorporating environmentally sustainable design principles into the building. 

It services the needs of youth and the community by providing:

- a one-stop information and referral service

- community and youth programs, activities and   enterprises

- coordination and linkage of generalist and youth services

- a community and youth access place.

We welcome all to come in and check out the fabulous spaces within!
